Changes to Maine License Law Book…

A few changes have been made to Title 32, effective November 1, 2017. This obviously affects the “Law Book” published by Abbot Village Press, 2015 edition. In a recent Learning Opportunities E-Newsletter, I offered a handy-dandy insert summarizing those changes and a number of people have requested a copy.

We are in the process of updating the book and should have a 2017 edition available by early January 2018 at the very latest. In the meantime, I’m making the insert available right from this site. (Why didn’t I think of that in the first place!?)

Our Third Year Publishing the PCES Yearbook

Yes… Abbot Village Press will be publishing the P.C.E.S. Yearbook for the year 2016-2017. While we are not in the yearbook business, we’re happy to use our resources and capabilities to help make a yearbook possible this year at an affordable price. In fact, we’ve been able to reduce the price this year to $5! A few important details:

Orders must be placed through the school, not with Abbot Village Press. Order forms have been distributed with orders due May 15.

This year’s book is truly a school project! Students and staff members are working hard on the content and layout. There will be lots of candid photos and plenty of space for autographs and memories.

Our targeted delivery date is the first week in June. There are lots of things to do, but we’re all having fun!

Publish the Book in you…

Cranking WheelPublishing technology and the industry has changed dramatically in recent years. It’s no longer impossible or expensive for new authors to get published thanks to “Indie Publishing” and POD (print on demand) technology. Join local author “Mr. Boomsma” to learn how he published and distributes his recent book “Small People — Big Brains” using readily available resources.

The RSU 19 Adult Education Program is sponsoring this class on Tuesday, February 23, 2016 at Nokomis High School in Newport.
